James Harden exits vs. Knicks with leg injury - NBA.com

In an inter-borough matchup between Brooklyn’s Nets and Manhattan’s Knickerbockers, the Nets were stripped of one of their superstars before halftime. James Harden left in the first quarter with hamstring tightness and was soon ruled out for the night after playing only 4 minutes, 22 seconds.

Harden had missed the last two games with right hamstring tightness. He was originally hurt against Houston last Wednesday, missing the final quarter of a victory against his former team.

Harden, currently leading the league with 11.1 assists per game, is averaging 26.1 points on 46.8% shooting (36.2% from 3) in 33 games with Brooklyn following his January arrival from the Rockets.

The Nets remain without Kevin Durant, who could return this week from his own hamstring injury that has sidelined him since mid-February.

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
