Ko wins Gainbridge LPGA; Hovland takes Dubai Desert Classic - Republic World

Lydia Ko pulled ahead with a birdie on the 15th hole and matched scores with Danielle Kang the rest of the way, closing with a 3-under 69 for a one-shot victory on a chilly Sunday in the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio.

Ko won for the second straight season after enduring a three-year slump. The 24-year-old player from New Zealand and picked up the 17th victory of her LPGA Tour career.

Kang, who closed with a 68, was trying to win back-to-back for the second time in three years. She won the season-opening Tournament of Champions a week ago in Orlando.

U.S. Women’s Open champion Yuka Saso, now playing under the Japanese flag, birdied the last two holes for a 67 and finished two shots behind.

Ko finished at 14-under 274.

Nelly Korda closed with a 70 and tied for 20th, a result that is expected to drop her from No. 1 in the women’s world ranking. Jin Young Ko, who skipped both Florida events to stay home in South Korea, would return to No. 1.

The LPGA Tour now takes a one-week break before wrapping up its Florida swing at the LPGA Drive On Championship.

EUROPEAN TOUR

Viktor Hovland beat Richard Bland with a birdie on the first playoff hole in the Dubai Desert Classic after Rory McIlroy bogeyed the final to finish a stroke back.

Hovland won for the third victory in five events. The Norwegian topped Bland with a birdie putt from inside 3 feet on the par-5 18th at Emirates Golf Club.

Hovland closed birdie-eagle-birdie for a 6-under 66. Bland, from England, birdied the last for a 68. They finished at 12 under.

McIlroy, tied for the lead with Hovland and Bland on the 18th hole, sent his approach from 267 yards into the water in front of the green. His par putt, which would have sent him into the playoff, brushed the edge of the cup. He shot 71.

SUNSHINE TOUR

Martin Rohwer won the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final at the Gary Player Country Club for his second Sunshine Tour title.

Rohwer closed with a 2-under 70 to finish at 13 under, two strokes ahead of South African countryman Tristen Strydom (64).

Blacklist to represent Sibol in SEAG ML - Tiebreaker Times

Blacklist International will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam.

This as the Tier One-backed squad topped the SIBOL National Team Selection powered by SMART by taking down Nexplay EVOS, 4-1, on Sunday night.

A three-man wipe in the Lord pit entering the 13-minute-mark sealed the deal for Blacklist International in Game Five. Salic “Hadji” Imam starred in the win with three kills and four assists against one death on Valentina.

Danerie “Wise” Del Rosario, Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna, Kyle “Dominic” Soto, Howard “Owl” Gonzales, Dexter “DEX STAR” Alaba, and Hadji will compose the Philippine national MLBB team.

Coaching the squad are Kristoffer “BON CHAN” Ricaplaza and Aniel “Master the Basics” Jiandani.

Blacklist International weathered a late rally from Nexplay EVOS to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Hadji’s great control of team fights gave the Tier One-backed squad the edge in the match. He finished with four kills and 10 assists against one death in the 18-13 opening win in 16 minutes and 35 seconds.

He continued his fine play in Game Two, putting up a team-high nine kills along with six assists and three deaths on Lunox in the 15-12 win in 16 minutes and eight seconds. The jungler-turned-roamer provided the bulk of the damage that peeled Nexplay EVOS’ frontline in crucial skirmishes.

Kenneth “Cadenza” Castro’s Khufra put Nexplay EVOS on the board after a crucial Luminous Lord steal in Game Three that paved the way for a come-from-behind 14-13 win in 21 minutes and 19 seconds. He finished with four assists, a kill, and three deaths.

Unfortunately for Nexplay EVOS, Blacklist International went aggressive in Game Four, bagging an 11-3 win to move at match-point.

Johnmar “OhMyV33NUS” Villaluna went back to his old ways, bringing out the Popol and Kuma roamer which definitely gave Nexplay EVOS a plethora of problems. He registered a game-high nine assists along with a kill and a death.

Philippines rallies behind lone Winter Olympics bet Asa Miller - Philstar.com

Joey Villar - Philstar.com

January 27, 2022 | 2:41pm

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Sports Commission chairman William Ramirez and Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino on Thursday praised Filipino-American alpine skier Asa Miller as the latter embarks on mission to represent the country strongly in the Winter Olympics set February 4-20 in Beijing, China.

Miller will fly from Los Angeles in the United States to Beijing on Sunday, or a week ahead of the opening ceremony of the quadrennial games.

The country’s solitary bet will be accompanied by his father Kelly and Philippine Ski and Snowboard Federation president Jim Palomar Apelar while the former’s coach, Will Gregorak, will arrive a few days after.

“We are seeking the inspiration of the Filipino people to pray for Asa Miller. We wish her all the best,” said Ramirez during Thursday’s online People Sports Conversations show.

“It’s nice to see someone from a tropical country like ours participating in a winter competition. It’s a proud moment,” he added.

“We’re lucky to have Asa Miller,” the congressman from Tagaytay, for his part, said.

Ramirez said they gave P3.3 million to fund the Beijing campaign while commending Miller and his parents for being self-sufficient during his journey to the Winter Games.

“I have to commend and congratulate Asa Miller and his parents for raising their own funds and being self-sufficient,” said Ramirez.

Miller’s giant slalom event unfurls on February 18 at the Xiaohaituo Alpine Skiing Field in Yanqing District.

Miller, who’s based in Portland, will be carrying the country’s colors during the parade of countries in the opening ceremony at the Beijing National Stadium or Bird’s Nest.

Anthony Davis, Lakers give their praise to Sixers star Joel Embiid - Sixers Wire

Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has been on an absolute tear in the month of January as he has thrown the Sixers on his back and carried them to victories. The Sixers have been lening on the big fella in order to get the job done.

Heading into Thursday’s victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, Embiid was averaging 34.5 points on 54.8% shooting in the month. He had a bit of a “down” game in the win as he scored just 26 points on 9-for-20 shooting, but he had nine rebounds and seven assists.

That is considered a down game for Embiid. That is how dominant he has been and Lakers star Anthony Davis gave his respect to the big fella.

“It’s always fun playing against another great big,” said Davis. “He’s been on a tear. Averaging 43, or something like that. Putting the team on his back. We knew it was going to be a tough matchup coming the way he’s been scoring the basketball and it was fun.”

When two legitimate star big men get the opportunity to play in games like this, it is always fun for everyone involved. Embiid and Davis going at each other was a good time for the Los Angeles star despite the Sixers picking up the win.

“Fun to battle on both ends,” Davis added. “Me guarding him, him guarding me. Any time I get the chance to play against someone like that, I always try to have fun with those matchups. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t get the win.”

Along with the praise from Davis, Lakers coach Frank Vogel compared Embiid to Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic a bit. The two of them are the best big men in the league so it’s not surprising and they are both in the MVP race as well so it also makes sense to compare the two a bit.

“It’s not just about the low post,” said Vogel. “That’s the biggest thing. I think there’s a lot of similarities between him and Joker from a standpoint of how much time they spend on the perimeter and all the coverages that go into slowing him down.”

Embiid, like Jokic, can handle the ball, he can knock down the triple, and he can also score in the mid-range, as well as dominate in the low block. So it isn’t just one area where he can beat you in.

“His 3-point line, long closeout driving game, the way they get it to him in the pocket, the way they pin down for him, there’s a lot of perimeter aspects to he and Joker and how they use those guys that it’s not just 15 touches on the low blocks in terms of trying to slow him down,” Vogel added. “There’s a variety of different things that go into trying to limit him. It’s very challenging to game plan for.”

Hosts India forced to withdraw from Women's Asian Cup - Reuters

Jan 24 (Reuters) - Women's Asian Cup hosts India are "considered to have withdrawn" from the tournament in accordance with competition rules after a COVID-19 outbreak forced their match against Taiwan to be cancelled, the Asian Football Confederation said on Monday.

Regulations require coaches to name a minimum 13-player matchday squad for each game and India's inability to do so caused Sunday's Group A match at Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium to be cancelled.

All India's results at the tournament are now considered null and void, the AFC said. India's opening draw with Iran has been deleted, in effect turning Wednesday's match between Iran and Taiwan into an eliminator for a place in the quarter-finals.

The decision also means India are out of contention for the 2023 World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, for which the Asian Cup serves as a qualifier.

"For the avoidance of doubt, all points and goals in those matches shall not be taken into consideration when determining the final rankings in the group," the governing body said in a statement.

The AFC added that third-placed teams in Groups B and C will have their results against fourth-placed teams ignored to ensure uniformity when deciding the two best teams that qualify for the knockout stages alongside group winners and runners-up.

China became the first nation to book their place in the knockout rounds with a 7-0 win over debutants Iran in their Group A game in Mumbai on Sunday.

Kendall Gill rips Bucks, NBA over Grayson Allen foul - NBC Sports Chicago

NBC Sports Chicago Bulls analyst Kendall Gill had strong words for the Milwaukee Bucks and NBA in the wake of the league suspending Grayson Allen one game for the flagrant foul that fractured Alex Caruso's right wrist.

"Ray Charles could see that was intentional. That's some BS, man," Gill said during Bulls Pregame Live in advance of a matchup between the Bulls and Orlando Magic.

While Billy Donovan said he understood Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer and multiple Milwaukee players backing Allen in the last 48 hours, Gill wasn't a fan of that dynamic, either.

"You guys (the Bucks) gotta call that stuff out," Gill continued. "Like, you heard Billy Donovan say he could have possibly ended Alex Caruso's career on that play. And don't tell me it was a hard foul, a hard play on the ball. Because, one, OK, the left hand, I understand. That happens. But when you come with the right hand, and it was almost like a slap, and it wasn't towards the basketball, it was actually towards Alex Caruso's head.

"This guy (Allen) has a history of playing dirty. So say what it is Milwaukee Bucks. I kind of lost some respect for those guys right there. You're not telling the truth... You gotta say, 'Listen, Grayson Allen has to learn how to play. We can't tolerate that in our game.'"

Gill also disagreed with the NBA's ruling of a one-game suspension for Allen, which will cost him roughly $28,000.

"I totally disagree with the one-game suspension," Gill said. "I thought that he should have gotten at least four or five. Because now it's just a slap on the wrist. This guy's making $10 million a year (Allen makes $4 million this season before a two-year, $18.7 million extension kicks in in 2022, according to Spotrac)...

"A one-game suspension is just a slap on the wrist. He might do this again, because he knows all I'm gonna get is one game."

Sania Mirza and her American partner Rajeev Ram defeated the pair of Ellen Perez and Matwe Middelkoop in the second round of the mixed doubles event to advance to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

It was a commanding show by the unseeded Indo-American duo, who wrapped up the match in straight sets. The contest which was played for an hour and 27 minutes saw Mirza and Ram dispatch Australian Perez and Dutch Middelkoop 7-6 (8/6),6-4.

They will now meet the winners of all Australian tie between Sam Stosur and Matthew Ebden and Jaimee Fourlis and Jason Kubler in the quarterfinals.

Earlier, Mirza and Ram had defeated Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic and Nikola Cacic in the opening round.

Meanwhile, Mirza has also announced that she will be retiring after the 2022 season. Sharing her thoughts on the decision, the Indian tennis star while speaking on Sony Six show Extra Serve said: “I'm looking forward to being at home not leaving out of a suitcase for a change and yeah just living a normal life.”

“I hope that I can finish the season and my body is healthy enough to play. The level is not an issue. It’s just about my body and the travel and stuff. So I’m still looking forward to the season. It’s a long year. We’re only in January. Everybody got really emotional yesterday and made me emotional as well; I didn’t mean it, India, I didn’t mean it. I didn’t mean to make everyone so sad, but yeah, I am looking forward to actually trying to win some tournaments this year before I stop,” she added.

When asked about her mixed doubles campaign at the Australian Open, Mirza said it is tough before highlighting the experience factor could work in their favour.

“In mixed everything is really tough, and with the no-ad and with the super tie break, it’s a bit of a toss-up, but well, we’ve got age on our side. That’s for sure, and we’ve got experience, and I think that we’re just really enjoying being on court together,” said Mirza.

Meanwhile, the six-time Grand Slam winner crashed out in the first round of the women’s doubles event. However, she remains the only Indian in fray in the year's first Grand Slam after Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Darija Jurak Schreiber made a first-round exit from the mixed doubles event on Saturday.

Melbourne: India's Rohan Bopanna and his Croatian partner Darija Jurak Schreiber made a first-round exit from the Australian Open mixed doubles tennis event after losing to Kazakhstan's Andrey Golubev and Ukraine's Lyudmyla Kichenok here on Saturday.

The Bopanna-Schreiber duo lost 6-1 4-6 9-11 in one hour and three minutes.

Bopanna and Schrieber came out with intent and won the first set 6-1 after making just one unforced error while converting two of the three breakpoints.

However, Golubev-Kichenok came back strong and took a 4-2 lead in the second set.

Bopanna and Schrieber were broken thrice in the second set with the Indian dropping serve for the first time to concede a 2-4 lead.

Bopanna and Schrieber bagged the next two games but Golubev and Kichenok took the set 6-4, taking the match into the super tiebreaker.

Bopanna and Schrieber were leading 9-6 in the decider but Golubev and Kichenok sealed it in their favour after saving three match points and converting their own.

Sania Mirza, who progressed to the mixed doubles second round with her American partner Rajeev Ram, is the only Indian remaining in fray in the season's first Grand Slam.

Australian Open: Sania, Rajeev enter mixed-doubles second round - Times of India

Sania Mirza's last dance in Melbourne two-stepped into the second round when she and Rajeev Ram beat Nikola Cacic and Aleksandra Krunic 6-3, 7-6 (3) in the Australian Open mixed-doubles.
The Indo-American combine, long-time friends, discovered who their opponents were some five minutes before they walked on court. The Serbian pair were the second alternates, they replaced Belinda Bencic and Filip Polsak as the Swiss were unwell.
Ram was champion in 2021 with Czech Barbora Krejcikova. "Sania and I had a tough one at the US Open, this is only the second time we are playing together. Nice to get a win here," he said. "Good for me to play with Sania as it's her last year. Hopefully we'll win a few more."
Ram and Sania are long-time friends, she was 12 and he was almost 15 when they first met, but the American, ranked No.4 in the world, wasn't aware of the Indian's decision to call it quits at the end of the season.
"She has got other priorities now, we are all getting to that age when you don't know how many years you have left," the 37-year-old said. "It's a bit more special to play together here given that she has decided."
Sania blamed timing when asked why the duo hadn't come together earlier.
"Just before I had Izhaan I was playing with Ivan Dodig for a couple of years, we had pretty good results. By the time I wanted to partner Rajeev he was winning Slams with other people, but it had to happen. It was meant to happen."
Sania and Ram could play third seeds Robert Farah and Nicole Melichar-Martinez next.

Sania Mirza and her American partner Rajeev Ram moved into the mixed doubles second round of the Australian Open with a confident straight-set win over the Serbian team of Aleksandra Krunic and Nikola Cacic, here on Thursday.

Ram came out serving big and also stayed like a rock at the net as he anchored the 6-3 7-6(3) win in the opening round that lasted 69 minutes. Ram is a defending champion in the event. He had won the mixed title here with Czech partner Barbora Krejcikova in 2021.

Mirza, who will retire after the 2022 season, also served well in the contest.

They had a chance to go up as early as in the second game but Mirza buried a forehand into the net on the deciding point.

The team got another chance on the serve of Krunic but that chance also went abegging when Mirza could not finish the point with a volley. However, they got the break on the deciding point.

Ram then served out the next game at love for a 4-1 lead.

Mirza too made a lot of first serves as the team cruised towards a first-set lead. Ram's solid serving and Mirza's smooth volleys sealed the set for the Indo-American team.

Mirza unleashed her big forehand to Krunic on a weak return from Cacic to earn the first break chance of the second set. But the Indian hit the forehand long on the deciding point.

A stunning cross court winner by Mirza earned the team two break points on Krunic's serve in the sixth game.

But the Serbians held the game as Krunic served wide and Mirza's return was dispatched for a volley winner by Cacic.

At 5-5, Krunic came out serving big for a crucial hold and now Mirza had to serve under pressure to stretch it to a tie-breaker. But the Indian made no mistake and served out the game at love.

Both Krunic and Cacic lost a point each on their serves to hand the Indo-American duo three match points. An error in return of serve by Cacic sealed it for Mirza and Ram.

Rohan Bopanna is also in fray in the mixed doubles event. He has paired up with Croatia's Darija Jurak Schreiber and will be in action on Saturday.

Lakers Frank Vogel Had a Blunt Response on Benching Russell Westbrook vs. Pacers - Sports Illustrated

After coming off a win, the Lakers started off strong during their latest matchup against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night. However, it did not last long as the Lakers lost 111-104 against head coach Frank Vogel's old team. After the game, Vogel spoke with the media and was asked why he made the choice to bench Russell Westbrook during the final four minutes of the game. Vogel gave a very blunt response and moved on quickly.

"Playing the guys I thought were going to win the game," said Vogel.

During the Wednesday night matchup Westbrook played better, but not at his best. Westbrook shot 5-17 and scored 14 points. However, Westbrook was 4-6 on three-pointers which is a big positive considering he went six straight games without making a single three. Nonetheless, as the head coach, it is important that if Vogel was going to take out one of their starters, he needed to be confident the player coming off the bench would put them in scoring position.

The Lakers were working together and taking control for most of the first half, so much so that they even went to halftime with a six-point lead. Then the dreaded third quarter arrived and the game was neck and neck. Eventually, L.A. lost their momentum and now have a losing record once again.

Clearly, the choices made in those final minutes did not help L.A. to get back to a winning record. With that said, even though the rumor of Frank Vogel potentially being fired has now been dismissed, what does this loss mean for the head coach?

Sania Mirza- Rajeev Ram pair moves into Australian Open mixed doubles second round - The Indian Express

Sania Mirza and her American partner Rajeev Ram moved into the mixed doubles second round of the Australian

Open with a confident straight-set win over the Serbian team of Aleksandra Krunic and Nikola Cacic, here on Thursday.

Ram’s solid serving and Mirza’s smooth volleys sealed the set for the Indo-American team.

Mirza unleashed her big forehand to Krunic on a weak return from Cacic to earn the first break chance of the second set. But the Indian hit the forehand long on the deciding point.

A stunning cross court winner by Mirza earned the team two break points on Krunic’s serve in the sixth game.

But the Serbians held the game as Krunic served wide and Mirza’s return was dispatched for a volley winner by Cacic.

He has paired up with Croatia’s Darija Jurak Schreiber and will be in action on Saturday.

Featured Game | New York Knicks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

    Why the Timberwolves can cover

Minnesota dealt with numerous COVID-19 absences earlier in the season but it is currently as healthy as it's been all year. The top 11 players for the Timberwolves, both in terms of minutes per game and points per game, are not even listed on the injury report, while New York will be undermanned. The Timberwolves are 17-11 when the trio of Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell are in the lineup, as will be the case tonight, versus a 4-11 record when at least one doesn't play.

Minnesota has one of the youngest teams in the league and that youth and athleticism shows in the team's activity on the defensive end. The Wolves rank in the top five in both steals per game and blocks per game, and they force more turnovers (17.0 per game) than any other team in the league. With the Knicks ranking 27th in scoring, losing possessions to Minnesota will be too much for New York to overcome.

    Why the Knicks can cover

The Knicks have their own strengths, but the weaknesses of Minnesota are also worth noting. The Wolves are third-worst in the NBA in ball security on offense, ranking No. 24 in the league in both field goal percentage and free throw percentage. On the other end, Minnesota is dead-last in the league in free throw attempts allowed and defensive rebound rate, securing only 70 percent of missed shots from opponents.

The Knicks are very good in key areas on offense, headlined by offensive rebounding. New York has a 28.6 percent offensive rebound rate, and the Knicks average 14.2 second-chance points per game. The Knicks also take care of the ball, committing only 13.3 turnovers per game, and New York is potent from three-point range, making 36.0 percent of attempts and converting 13.1 three-pointers per game. With the Knicks also allowing only 104.5 points per game on defense, that is a strong baseline for success.

How to make Timberwolves vs. Knicks picks

SportsLine's model is leaning over on the total, projecting 221 combined points. The model also says one side of the spread hits well over 50 percent of the time. You can only see the model's pick at SportsLine.

Sixers discuss how they contained Heat stars Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry - Sixers Wire

The Philadelphia 76ers had a big challenge in front of them on Saturday as they took on the Miami Heat on the second night of a back-to-back. Without the help of Danny Green or Matisse Thybulle, the Sixers had to find a way to contain Heat stars Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry in order to get it done.

They did so in a huge way as Butler was held to just 1-for-11 shooting and Lowry was held to just 2-for-11 shooting as the Sixers went on to win it 109-98 in an impressive effort. It was a big night for Philadelphia and they were able to take advantage of it all to get it done.

“They missed shots,” said coach Doc Rivers. “They’re great players. They just didn’t make every shot. They had some open shots. Duncan Robinson had some open shots, but we missed open shots as well. The other part of it was they were defended. We got into their bodies. We took away what we wanted to try take away.”

Rivers is right at the point where Butler and Lowry missed a lot of easy looks and even Robinson going 0-for-8 from deep is not a normal night for him. The Sixers just played solid team defense in order to get the job done against a very good Heat team who plays well together.

“Just us packing in the paint a little bit,” added Tobias Harris. “We know they’re a team that moves really well without the basketball, so being able to show crowds of guys who are driving and being able to get out to shooters. Really for us, it was the ability to make shots and allow them to have to set up their offense. I thought we did a really good job in helping each other, especially in the stretch in the second half where we got a lot of stops.”

Even Tyrese Maxey had a very impressive block on Lowry late to really seal things for Philadelphia.

“Great block, that was one of the turning points of the game,” Rivers added. “I thought Tyrese tonight ran the team. Went downhill when he needed to go downhill, made shots when he needed to, but more importantly, he got us in our stuff.”

Still, the fact that the Sixers held them to such tough nights on the offensive end is something that is really impressive. The team defense they presented to both of them was something they can build on.

“They’re both great players,” Joel Embiid added. “They bring something special and different to their team whether it’s playmaking or scoring so it’s always a tough task to guard them, but I think we did a great job. They like to drive and kick. I was frustrated at the beginning of the game because I kept challenging shots and their bigs would just get offensive rebounds and keep scoring, but I think we did a better job in the second half and not allowing them to get in the paint. We also limited their 3s.”

The Sixers will now have to carry this effort into Monday’s matchup with the Washington Wizards.

Chicago Bulls star guard Zach LaVine to have MRI on injured left knee - ABC News

CHICAGO -- Bulls guard Zach LaVine exited Friday's 138-96 loss to the Golden State Warriors in the first quarter with a left knee injury and did not return.

LaVine did not travel with the team to Boston for its matchup against the Celtics on Saturday night, and instead will remain in Chicago to receive an MRI. There's initial confidence that he hasn't suffered a serious injury, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

LaVine appeared to begin laboring after grabbing an offensive rebound with just under nine minutes remaining in the first quarter. On the next play, he took an intentional foul on Warriors guard Stephen Curry before taking himself out of the game.

He immediately walked toward the Bulls' locker room with a team trainer, but LaVine was able to move under his own power.

"The MRI will tell a lot more once he gets that done," Bulls coach Billy Donovan said after the game. "I don't want to sit here and speculate ... he kind of came down a little funny, and he's got some discomfort there right now and they want to take a look. He didn't feel like he could return."

Chicago has had its depth tested recently without guard Alex Caruso (health and safety), Derrick Jones Jr. (knee), Javonte Green (groin) and Tyler Cook (ankle).

LaVine is averaging 25.6 points on 49% shooting (41% from 3), 4.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 37 games for the Bulls this season.

The Warriors took over following LaVine's injury, closing the first half on a 64-37 run. The Bulls lost by 42 points on Friday after losing by 26 points to the Nets on Wednesday. It's the first time a conference leader has lost consecutive games by an average of 30 points since the NBA went to two conferences in 1970, according to research by ESPN Stats & Information.

"These two games should be all the motivation that we need to step up, play hard, play for one another," Bulls star DeMar DeRozan said. "It's just another challenge that we got to face. We can't complain about it. Can't whine about it. Can't look for no extra help. It's on us."
