Kelly Oubre out for Warriors-Nuggets with left wrist soreness - NBC Sports Bay Area

The Warriors will be down two starters against one of the NBA's hottest teams Monday.

Golden State wing Kelly Oubre Jr. will miss Monday's game against the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center due to left wrist soreness, according to the NBA's 5:30 p.m. PT injury report Sunday.

Oubre didn't play in Saturday's win over the Houston Rockets, and he also missed two games prior to the NBA All-Star break with a sprained left wrist. Coach Steve Kerr told reporters Saturday that Oubre was day to day with the injury. The 25-year-old fell hard on his left wrist after going up for a dunk during Friday's loss to the Washington Wizards.

Sources confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area's Monte Poole that rookie center James Wiseman sustained a torn meniscus Saturday, and the Warriors officially ruled him out for Monday's game against the Nuggets. Denver's loss to the Boston Celtics on Sunday ended an eight-game winning streak, and Kevon Looney is Golden State's only natural center with NBA MVP frontrunner Nikola Jokic leading the Nuggets to San Francisco.

Kent Bazemore started in Oubre's place Saturday, whereas Looney likely will start for Wiseman. The Warriors' presumptive lineup of Steph Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Bazemore and Looney has only played 62 minutes in 13 games this season. In those 62 minutes, Golden State has a plus-17.9 net rating.

Nuggets star Jamal Murray missed his fourth straight game Sunday with a sore knee. Denver had not yet submitted its injury report for Monday's game as of this writing.
