Kendrick Perkins apologizes to Steph Curry for slander amid historic run - NBC Sports Bay Area

Steph Curry has been on an otherworldly tear over the past 10 games, and his historic run has made even his biggest detractors see the light.

Kendrick Perkins, who has been a critic of the Warriors star over the past few years, took to Twitter to apologize to Curry on Monday night after the two-time MVP torched the Philadelphia 76ers for 49 points in Golden State's 107-95 win.

The Perkins-Curry beef goes back to the 2018 NBA Finals when Curry was upset the then-Cleveland Cavaliers big man didn't move his legs out of Curry's way when the Warriors guard drifted out of bounds after launching a 3-pointer.

However, as a member of the media, Perkins has been far from Curry's biggest critic and he even went on the Dubs Talk podcast and rightfully claimed Curry is the greatest shooter of all time and a top 10 player in history.

But enough about former enforcers-turned-talking heads and back to Curry.

After scorching the 76ers, the Warriors star now is averaging 40.8 points, shooting 54.9 percent from the field, 50.3 percent from deep and 90.9 percent from the line during his hot streak.

On Monday, he put on another unconscious display, going 14-of-28 from the field, including 10-of-17 from distance while pouring in 49 points, with just a missed free throw standing between him and a 50-piece.

Curry is making a last-minute charge for the MVP award that is impossible to ignore, and Perkins wants everyone to know that he now sees the light.
