The Dallas Mavericks took a 2-0 series lead over the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center on Tuesday night, with Luka Doncic once again putting on a show.
The 22-year-old ended the night with 39 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in just over 38 minutes of action, as he held off a fightback from Clippers duo Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
Leonard (41 points, six rebounds, four assists) and George (28 points, 12 rebounds, six assists) had decent individual nights, but collectively the Clippers were unable to live with the Mavs. Reggie Jackson was the other Clipper that got into double figures, scoring 15 points off the bench.
Doncic led the way for the Mavs, but he was ably assisted by Tim Hardaway Jr (28 points, one rebound, five assists), Kristaps Porzingis (20 points, four rebounds) and Maxi Kleber (13 points, four rebounds, three assists).
The series now heads to Dallas, where the Mavs have the chance to potentially sweep the Clippers in front of their home fans. With Doncic in the form that he is in at present, that is not out of the question.
Game 3 will take place at American Airlines Center on Friday night at 3:30 CEST (21:30 ET).
