The Philadelphia 76ers have new life after they went on the road and knocked off the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 on Friday. They received a big performance from up and down the roster and they were able to come away with a 104-99 win to force a Game 7 on Sunday back in Philadelphia.

Seth Curry and Tobias Harris had 24 points each to lead the way and Joel Embiid had 22 points. The Sixers also received a big performance out of rookie Tyrese Maxey who had 16 points and seven rebounds while showing no fear whatsoever considering the stakes that were at hand. Philadelphia’s season was on the line and a 20-year old rookie came in and gave a huge spark to the team.

With that being said, here are the individual player grades following the win:

Seth Curry: A+

Curry was fantastic in this one. His efforts in the first half kept Philadelphia in the game and then he scored or assisted on all 14 points of the 14-0 run to open the third quarter when Philadelphia took control. He dropped 24 points on 6-for-9 shooting from deep and he was a big effort in this one.

Harris finished with 24 points and five rebounds and outside of the foul trouble in the first half, he was excellent in this one. Along with Curry, they kept the Sixers afloat in the first half when the stars were struggling a bit.

Joel Embiid: C

The stats will say that Embiid finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds with two blocks, but he only shot 9-for-24 from the floor. He struggled a bit with the double teams as he committed eight turnovers and he seemed a bit slow on defense as Trae Young and Clint Capela converted a few lobs. He did have a solid fourth quarter to help the team close it out.

Korkmaz had seven points and five rebounds while knocking down one of their five triples. He was the only one who seemed aggressive from the outset which is something good for Philadelphia to build off of.

Ben Simmons: D

The Sixers won, so Simmons is off the hook for a bit, but he did not have a good Game 6. He finished with six points, nine rebounds, and five assists and he shot just 2-for-6 from the floor. He also split his free throws when Atlanta went to the hacking strategy and his defense against Young was not up to par. Game 7 will be telling on Sunday for him.

Tyrese Maxey: A

This young man had a helluva game off the bench. With Simmons struggling, Maxey had 16 points and seven rebounds and he gave the team a huge spark. Philadelphia fell behind by double-digits in the first half and Maxey was a huge reason why they were able to rally back a bit and get back into the game before halftime. He was also impressive in the fourth quarter when the team needed him the most.

George Hill: C

Hill had a bad first half, but he was better in the second half. He knocked down an open look from deep and he was solid on defense against Young. Philadelphia will take that.

Dwight Howard: C-

Howard had two points and two rebounds off the bench and he once again looked a little old out there. Atlanta was able to use their athleticism to bother him a bit and continue to attack the paint against him.

Matisse Thybulle: C-

Thybulle struggled on the offensive end, but there were a few plays in the first quarter that kept Philadelphia alive. He had two huge steals and one of them led to Curry dribbling into a triple. Outside of the first quarter, he was not very impactful.

Shake Milton: D

Milton only played 4:19 off the bench and he missed both shots that he took. The stellar play of Maxey seemed to push Milton out of the rotation again a bit. It will be interesting to see what he does in Game 7.
