The 2020-21 NBA season has come to an end and the Milwaukee Bucks have etched their name in NBA lore! For the first-time since 1971, the Milwaukee Bucks are World Champions as they defeated the Phoenix Suns 4-2 in the NBA Finals.

All season long, this team battled through adversity and while they were overlooked at times in the Eastern Conference with the likes of the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers getting all of the attention, the Bucks are the ones on the front pages of headlines worldwide at the end of the season!

A few weeks back, Bucks fans and the NBA world was calling for Milwaukee to fire head coach Mike Budenholzer, but now, he has helped deliver the Bucks a championship for the first-time in 50 years, so it is pretty safe to say that Coach Bud is not going anywhere anytime soon since he is just the second coach in Bucks history to win a championship with this organization.

After trailing 0-2 in the NBA Finals, things seemed dim for the Bucks and their chances of possibly winning a title, but they did not give up hope. They had faced a similar situation earlier in the playoffs, trailing the Brooklyn Nets 0-2 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, yet they were able to find a way to survive and advance in that series.

This same grit and tenacity allowed them to get themselves back in this year’s NBA Finals series against the Suns and the rest is now history. This team never gave up on themselves and with a player like Giannis Antetokounmpo, a once in a generation type of talent, the sky was the limit for this team.

The Milwaukee Bucks became the fifth team in NBA Finals history to win a championship after trailing 2-0 and the first team to do so by winning their next four games since the Miami Heat did so against the Dallas Mavericks in 2006. From getting Giannis to sign a super-max contract extension to remain in Milwaukee, to trading for Jrue Holiday, to even bringing in P.J. Tucker midseason, the Bucks made all the right moves over the last year or so to make sure that they could deliver the city of Milwaukee a championship!

Giannis and Co. gave us the final picture of the 2020-21 NBA season hoisting the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy into the air in Fiserv Forum and with this image, we take a look back at the three biggest things we learned from this 2021 NBA Finals between the Phoenix Suns and Milwaukee Bucks.
