James Harden ties Larry Bird with 59th career triple-double - NBA.com

James Harden posts 18 points, 12 assists & 10 rebounds in Nets' win.

James Harden notched his 59th career triple-double against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday, tying Larry Bird for seventh-most all time.

In just three quarters, the Nets star posted 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists as Brooklyn took a 22-point lead entering the final period. Recently named to the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Team, Harden knocked down 4-of-7 3-point attempts, with his lethal stepback on full display.

“It’s getting there. I’m starting to feel real, real good,” said Harden after his balanced attack in the Nets’ 117-91 victory.

James Harden talks about finding his groove after recording his first triple-double of the season vs. Detroit.

In addition to Harden’s dominant performance, the Nets were extremely efficient on the offensive end, shooting a franchise record 65.3% from the field. Brooklyn’s previous record (65.2%) was set nearly 40 years ago on April 17, 1982 at Detroit.
