Asistio, Nambatac lead 4th quarter charge as ROS routs NLEX in PBA on Tour - The Manila Times

Rey Nambatac and Anton Asistio joined hands in leading Rain or Shine's fiery fourth quarter rampage as the Elasto Painters dumped the NLEX Road Warriors, 117-93 on Friday in their PBA On Tour match at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.

The Elasto Painters outscored the Road Warriors, 42-19 in the final period, with Nambatac and Asistio scoring 14 points apiece in that stretch that all but settled the outcome.

Asistio fired 22 points, highlighted by 5-of-7 shooting from downtown. Nambatac also banged in 22, along with three rebounds and three assists for ROS, which leaned on its defense to convert NLEX's 17 turnovers to 17 points.

Jewel Ponferada added 10, while Leonard Santillan flirted with a double-double after adding nine and hauling down 10 rebounds.

Bong Galanza led NLEX with 22 points, while Kris Rosales and Dominic Fajardo added 16 and 15, respectively, who tumbled to 0-2 in the preseason games. NLEX opened the PBA On Tour with a 93-88 loss to Blackwater last week.

Rain or Shine made a killing in bench points, 81-38, while also outgunning NLEX, 21-10 in fastbreak points.
