The road to FIBA Asia Cup 2025 for men’s basketball teams across the continent starts now.
From 22-26 February, the process to determine the 16-strong field for next year’s Asia Cup in Saudi Arabia will begin with Window 1. 24 countries will play across four gamedays with all teams looking to get their qualification campaigns off to a strong and healthy start.
In all, there will be three windows to decide which teams compete at the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup: February 2024, November 2024 and February 2025.
The 24 competing teams have been divided into six groups of four. The top two teams in each group will make it to the final round in Saudi Arabia next year, while the six third-placed teams will play in another qualifying tournament for the final four places.
Places for the qualifiers of the 2024 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Qatar will also be up for grabs. Qatar is automatically qualified as the World Cup host.
